IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 1 SERIAL PORT
<Please read this>
The serial port which you intend to operate must
be configured properly for use with the Microsoft
serial port driver built into Windows.
For most computers, each comm port must be
physically set to a UNIQUE interrupt (IRQ).
Normally your ports are set to conflict:
COM 1 and COM 3 share IRQ 4
COM 2 and COM 4 share IRQ 3
If you try to access a port that shares
an Interrupt using UNICOM or Terminal, you may
LOCK the Microsoft Port driver or at best, get a
message stating that the port you want is not
available.
For help configuring your serial port hardware for
use with Windows, please call Microsoft at
(206)637-7098.
Registered UNICOM users can call (206)432-1201.
